Here's what you need to know

I'm a Toronto based Illustrator and Florist. When I'm not doing some form of design work, I love to write. Usually short and cryptic poems or journal entries. 

I think we leave hints throughout our lives. Clues as to who we want to be. What we want to do. While I can remember a long long history of sketches, paintings, and other masterpieces from as early as 4-years-old, there have also been whispers of floristry scattered throughout my life. A bouquet bound with a blade of grass that could fit in the palm of my hand. A photo series of every time I encountered a flower I didn't know. An ever growing collection of houseplants. All alluding to one day being a florist.

Children's literature moves me and makes me want to become a better artist in every way. While taking a course on it once, the big idea that was repeated to us over and again is that the essence of children's literature is to pass on our ideas, values, and morals on to the next generation. I want to participate in passing on the ideas of love, compassion, empathy, and truth. So, I work hard to make stories that my inner child would love to read.
